Last week, one of our incredible Red Bear Care team members, Twyla, showed exactly what it means to be in the business of independence.

While accompanying a client to the emergency room following a fall, Twyla noticed subtle signs of distress as they arrived. The client became weak and dizzy while stepping out of the vehicle. When the client requested water, Twyla began to step away, but here’s where her RBC training kicked in: she never took her eyes off her client.

That vigilance made all the difference.

As the client began to faint, Twyla rushed back just in time to prevent a secondary fall. With quick thinking, she called out for immediate assistance at the entrance and ensured the client received prompt care. Twyla stayed with her the entire time and, once released, she took our client home. Thanks to Twyla’s attention, situational awareness, and commitment to safety, the client avoided further injury and is now recovering comfortably at home.

And Twyla didn’t stop there. Despite the stressful situation, she maintained communication with the office, adjusted expectations with her next client, and fulfilled her scheduled evening shift without hesitation. That’s resilience. That’s heart. That’s Red Bear Care.
